For us, there really isn't any going back. We have moved on...and seeing the results here I am glad we did. It was the right choice to make at the right time. I think the same is true for you as well.

Yeah, I bought them directly on the website and I'm glad I did. We ended up needing every saved dollar to make it here.

Yeah there is no choice when applying for visas really. They have to put the visas in the passport anyways. I have taken a very relaxed attitude on this trip because I knew the Lord was guiding me.

yeah...I was thinking about how you managed all your bags. I only had a short trip from Saipan to japan but when I got to Japan-I had 3 HUGE shipping boxes, a huge duffel bag and 2 carry-on bags to handle myself. It was quite comical. I made a real scene getting all that stuff on two luggage carts and then pushing it myself....no one offered to help me either....won't ever do THAT again!

What you wrote about seeing Saipan from the air brought back such vivid memories....I almost cried. I remember how I felt leaving, knowing I was leaving behind my kids and grand-kids...got a lump in my throat. But...we must go where the Lord directs....

I get a lot of request to play "Farmville" but I have never played it and do not know anything about it. It did not look productive. I strive to be creative and productive. I bought a book on knots; I bought some para-cord at the Army/Navy store. When I am watching TV, for example, I will pick a new knot to learn and rehearse knots I have already learned. It has payed off more times than I can count. Knowing how to tie a knot for a certain application is one thing, knowing how to use the right combination of knots to accomplish a task is the real challenge. Take a friction knot like the prusik hitch. This hitch will hold a heavy man on a mountain but will slide with your pinky finger! So, why not use it to hold my heavy pots and pans? It worked great and could be adjusted up or down. All my pots and pans hang from the ceiling to the floor by three separate ropes and looks rustic. There are a lot of other knot combinations that are amazing for what they can do.

Flea markets are great! When my family was young, I shopped at flea markets often, and picked up some really good deals. I'm now at the point where I'm ready to get rid of a lot of "stuff." As soon as my youngest daughter leaves home in September, I'm on a mission to simplify my home. I hadn't thought about a flea market, so you may very well have put me on to something here. Thanks!
